Metal Braces

Before applying the brackets, Dr. Varallo and the team at Varallo Orthodontics will take photos and X-rays of your mouth. We’ll use our iTero Element scanner to scan each of your teeth and the layout of your gums and mouth.

This process takes 10-15 minutes and provides a highly accurate 3D view of your mouth.

After the X-Ray and digital scan, Dr. Varallo will use this information to create your customized treatment plan. This will include how each tooth needs to be moved to get it in the best possible position.

The Damon System uses a slide mechanism to hold and adjust the wire, resulting in a quicker, more comfortable alignment process. The shape-memory wires help teeth shift faster than the usual treatment, and since the system does not use metal ties, it is easier to clean your braces and teeth during treatment.

Sleeker brackets and lighter wires improve the appearance and feel of these braces. This means you’ll have less irritation in your mouth. Damon metal braces are self-ligating, so you won’t have any uncomfortable adjustment appointments.
